AP English Language and Composition

AP exams are a wonderful opportunity for high school students to earn college credit while still in high school. The AP exam is broken up into three parts; Mr. L. can explain each part, and help your student master each section, in order to receive a passing score.

Study Skills

If your student is in need of study skills, Mr. L will help them develop a plan so that they can feel more prepared for studying in the future.

Practicing different methods of studying can help students not only learn new skills but reinforce what they already know, in order to become an independent, lifelong learner.

English Language Arts (ELA) Regents

All NYC students must pass the ELA Regents exam. A passing score is a 65; however, many NYC colleges require a score of 75 or higher, in order to demonstrate “college readiness.”

The ELA Regents is broken up into three parts. Mr. L. can set your student up for success.
